Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, Treaty 6 – Chief and Council recently received a comprehensive mid-year operational update outlining progress across multiple departments during the first half of 2026.

The report highlighted continued work in infrastructure planning, housing initiatives, community programming, governance modernization, and organizational improvements.

Department managers presented updates on completed projects, current priorities, and initiatives that remain underway. Council also reviewed financial performance, ongoing grant opportunities, and several capital projects scheduled for later this year.

Leadership noted that collaboration between departments has contributed to improved coordination of services and more efficient project planning.

While several long-term initiatives remain in progress, Chief and Council expressed appreciation to Administration and staff for their continued commitment to serving members and advancing the Nation’s strategic priorities.
