Our Purpose

Chief Beardy Memorial Elementary School (CBMES) is a welcoming, student-centred school where Indigenous culture, language, and traditions are woven into everyday learning. Guided by the teachings of the Medicine Wheel, we are committed to supporting the intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of every student. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and connected. Through strong partnerships with families, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community organizations, we create meaningful learning experiences that blend Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes with Cree language, culture, land-based learning, and Indigenous ways of knowing. Our inclusive learning environment celebrates every child’s unique strengths while providing the supports needed for academic success, personal growth, and lifelong learning.
