The BOCN Youth Wellness Centre provides a safe, welcoming environment where children and youth can learn, grow, and build meaningful connections.
Providing daily traditional and cultural programming, including regalia making, moccasin making, hide tanning, hunting, trapping, fishing, and traditional teachings.
Offering hands-on workshops in home maintenance, automotive basics, carpentry, plumbing, electronics, cooking, and other practical life skills.
Supporting personal growth through resume writing, employment preparation, driver’s education, leadership opportunities, and skill development.
Organizing seasonal camps, canoe quests, youth and family conferences, and outdoor learning experiences.
Providing weekly outings, daily drop-in programming, and recreational opportunities that encourage healthy lifestyles and positive relationships.
Creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where youth can socialize, build friendships, and connect with trusted staff mentors.

Participation in some programs, camps, and off-reserve activities may be limited where specialized one-on-one supports are required or where participation could present a safety risk. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
All staff maintain current Criminal Record Checks (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Checks. The Youth Wellness Centre maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, violence, and lateral violence.
The BOCN Youth Wellness Centre exists to provide meaningful opportunities for children and youth between the ages of 8 and 19 to learn, grow, and thrive. Through cultural teachings, recreational programming, life skills development, and personal growth opportunities, the Centre helps young people develop confidence, healthy relationships, and a strong connection to their community and culture. Working alongside Elders, Knowledge Keepers, families, and community partners, the Youth Wellness Centre provides a welcoming space where youth can safely participate in daily activities, explore new experiences, and build the skills they need for future success.
