First CSO in Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Appointed

BOCN Chief and Council are proud to welcome Landon Gamble as the first appointed Community Safety Officer in the history of our Nation.

This morning’s CSO appointment ceremony for Landon was led with an opening prayer and smudge with our eldest band member, Kohkom Therese Seesequasis.

Today marks the achievement of a major milestone—not only for Landon, but for all those who worked tirelessly and with passion to bring this Community Safety Officer program to fruition. It was an honour to witness such a powerful ceremony, where our ancestors could truly be felt in the room with us all.

Congratulations, Landon. You make our Nation very proud and help us feel safer.
