Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, Treaty 6 – Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation is pleased to announce the return of the Community Garden Program for the 2026 growing season.

The program provides members and families with access to garden plots where they can grow fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers while learning valuable gardening skills and promoting healthy living.

Returning participants will have the opportunity to renew their existing plots, while a limited number of new spaces will be available for first-time gardeners. Community workshops covering soil preparation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting are also planned throughout the season.

The Community Development Department hopes the program will continue encouraging food security, healthy lifestyles, and opportunities for members to connect with one another through shared learning experiences.

Registration information will be released in the coming weeks through the Nation’s website and official social media channels.
