Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, Treaty 6 – The Governance Committee will be hosting a series of community engagement sessions this spring to provide members with opportunities to discuss governance initiatives and share feedback on future priorities.

The sessions are intended to encourage open dialogue between leadership and community members while increasing awareness of ongoing governance work. Topics will include Nation policies, member participation, committee responsibilities, and future legislative initiatives.

Members will have the opportunity to ask questions, provide recommendations, and participate in discussions designed to strengthen transparency and accountability within the Nation.

Separate sessions will be scheduled to accommodate Elders, youth, and members living both on and off reserve whenever possible.

The Governance Committee recognizes that meaningful engagement requires ongoing conversation rather than one-time consultation and remains committed to ensuring members continue to play an active role in shaping the Nation’s future.

Meeting dates and locations will be announced through the Nation’s website and official social media channels.
