New and Returning Elected Leaders of BOCN Sworn In

On Monday, June 1st, BOCN proudly welcomed and honoured our newly elected leaders of our Nation. A swearing-in ceremony was held, conducted by elders Raymond and Loretta Mandes with the help of BOCN admin staff and community.

Each member of Council brings their own gifts, strengths, and vision to the table and will advocate on behalf of all members of BOCN, whether living on or off reserve.

Our Council has demonstrated courage, tenacity, and commitment by stepping forward to serve our Nation. As our leaders work to support our people, let’s continue to be a strong, close-knit BOCN that works together today for the benefit of our children and grandchildren yet to come.

For the 2026–2029 term, BOCN has increased the number of elected Councillors from six to eight. Chief Ananas returns for his third term, and Councillors Nicole Gamble and Sheryl Okemaysim return to the table from the previous term as well.
